Adjacent to one of the oldest cinemas in London and downstairs from the Electric House, The Diner opens at 8am for breakfast, switches to the all-day menu at 12pm and keeps serving until late at night (you can drop in for dinner until midnight Friday and Saturday or 10pm Sunday).

We also keep serving at the bar until 1am Thursday to Saturday – stocked with 18 different draught and bottled beers and ales, wines and strong new takes on classic cocktails. The Diner is all about unfussy combinations of the best ingredients; quick, friendly service and food that is sent straight from the kitchen as and when it’s ready. There’s booth and bar seating, and a specially chosen soundtrack played from the Diner’s reel-to-reel machine.

Brendan Sodikoff is the chef behind Chicago’s Au Cheval, an award-winning French-American diner. As well as inspiring the concept of Electric Diner, Sodikoff has collaborated on the menu, supplying several of the signature dishes from his Chicago restaurant. He will also oversee the kitchen team, all of whom spent time training with the staff from Au Cheval prior to Electric Diner’s opening. Responsible for six restaurants and bars (as well as Chicago’s Doughnut Vault), Electric Diner is Sodikoff’s first site outside of the US.

Electric Diner serves a French-American menu, including the fried house-made bologna sandwich, roasted bone marrow with beef cheek marmalade, cheeseburger, and honey-fried chicken with chilli and sesame seeds.

Breakfast starts from 8am with a selection of items from the bakery and a dedicated eggs section on the menu, while desserts include toffee date cake and a pie of the day.

There are 19 beers available (including Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and Belhaven Stout on draught), a carefully-chosen wine list and your favourite cocktails in the best glassware, alongside new creations such as the Hemingway Daiquiri and Horse’s Neck.
